I've been thinking about this ever since.
I'm a member of several scientific societies and some of them do explorations that are so on the fringe that their members run the risk of being ostracized by "mainstream" science.
Hmm...kind of like my research was about twenty years ago when I started down this road.
Hmm...as I wrote in Keep On, Quack Science!: "I would be remiss unless I also noted just how much of what is today's quack and pseudoscience is tomorrow's established fact. Remember, don't sail too far from the shore...you'll fall over the edge of the earth."
The person who brought Princess Märtha Louise (that's her on the right. She's the one offering the courses) to my attention wanted me to comment.
About the validity of what she's offering? My response is very unscientific; There are more things in heaven and earth, Dear Reader, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
About the class itself? I think it's about US$5,000/semester. Seems reasonable enough. Demonstrate where this, as a class offering, is more "out there" than some of the other classes offered in universities and colleges, especially those affiliated with a specific belief system, and I'll reconsider.
Just my opinion.
