One of my correspondents commented that I was never in my office anymore. I'll admit, travels kept me hopping. My recent vacation, too short, in Ville de Quebec and documented in earlier posts exhausted my travels for a bit. I'm in my office for the next two weeks, anyway.
And one of the things I'm doing is catching up on my reading. Research reading. I haven't read any non-NextStage research since 1 Oct 07, the day I started my sabbatical. Yesterday, actually, I started reading again.
One thing that intrigued me is that the Dutch mail company, TNT Post, is impregnating their stamps with seeds (NEW SEEDED DUTCH STAMPS bloom into living plants!). Don't know what this does to the licking and it does mean stamps thrown to the winds (not that I recommend it) are the same as...umm...casting your seeds to the winds.
Another case of serendipity; a recent column I wrote for IMedia likens some specific aspects of viral social marketing as seed dispersal mechanisms.
Never thought to do it with stamps, though. Clever idea, that.
