re lies, I saw their presentation on C-Span and only problem I have is they didn't clearly show/prove that in private they believed different than what they said publicily (which is lying). I, for one, never believed anything they said. To me it was a geo-strategic necessity to invade since we had large forces and held 2/3 of the country. However, once Turkey refused to allow our troops to move through their border I knew it was time to abandon the idea, sigh. And it never occurred to my how badly they'd handle the occupation. I would have allowed most of the bath -:) types a wash and put a military govenor in charge.
It took a long time but about 15+- years ago political scientists admitted that it took a benighed dictator (King of England - forced to be benighed -:), Washington by training and inclination, and Atturk similar, I think) to set the conditions to slid into a democracy.
Anyway, when I saw the long, huge, lines of military age males walking home with none of our folks taking names to checking on them I knew we were in for trouble.
sigh
Oh, and if you had been following things over the years you knew Al'Q hated secular Islamic gov'ts and vice versa. I can't believe 30%+ of the country still thinks there was a significant link (mostly folks who watch fox news, I think, sigh**2)
