Successful Search Engine Writing and Searching for the Perfect Search, part 6
NextStage: Predictive Intelligence, Persuasion Engineering, Interactive Analytics and Behavioral Metrics This is part 6 in the Successful Search Engine Writing arc. It was about this time in my Search Engine Writing explorations that I realized you could google blogs differently from googling the web in general (I'm a Luddite, remember?).

How well did I do writing for search engines in general and on blogs in particular?

This entry in the arc deals with a series of posts that spanned pretty much the month of Oct '07 from 4 to 29. This arc, Veritas, dealt with whether or not website visitors are being honest and truthful when they fill out forms, et cetera. My search term was "truth and false information on websites".

truth on the webPosts in that arc were showing up as both #1 and #2 out of 1.7 million possible entries. One thing I've noticed is that my "out of" numbers seem to be consistent when I'm doing web searches. Both this image and the one below are demonstrating something. Not sure what. The researcher in me salivates at the information being demonstrated here and I've been in business long enough to know that just because something's interesting doesn't mean it's profitable.

truth in blogsThis is the blog search for the same term. One of the posts is showing up as #1 out of a possible 9k entries.

What impressed me about this search of blog and web was that I performed the search on 9 Oct 07. There were only three entries in the arc at that point in time.

The equation grows. More to follow.

Please contact NextStage for information regarding presentations and trainings on this and other topics.
