The series of posts that comes to mind most easily are the MediaFree and Gridless posts. From regular reader and fellow KMM author Kimberlee Morrison's comment way back in Part 1 to my friend Brad Berens (whose post, Unplugging... why is it so hard?, prompted this arc in the first place) email and our following conversation, the comments were fascinating, intriguing and worthy.
Right now I want to focus is something Kimberlee wrote, "I think it's funny when people have those "sent from my phone" signatures too, especially when many can go into the system and customize it." Too true, especially in light of NextStage research on the meaning of email signatures.
Kimberlee also writes "The issue of unplugging is more about wanting or not wanting to." and I completely agree. As I wrote in the finale to the MediaFree and Gridless arc, "...going media free, gridless and getting unplugged has to do with nothing more than personal values."
Understanding our personal and public values is, as I suggest in that post, one of life's great quests and one we ignore at our peril.
Please contact NextStage for information regarding presentations and trainings on this and other topics.
