Fridays are usually good days for me. I enjoy writing, communicating and sharing information and knowledge and Fridays are the days I have one or two new columns come out. Priming the Conversion Pump withe Color is the second in a series (not an arc, no, not that) of posts spanning August '07. Each entry in the series deals with different ways the mind-brain system deals with time and how to encourage people viewing your marketing material to move future decisions into the present.
There are several reasons for this. The most obvious to me is that, by moving a purchase from the future to the present you, the marketer, have more control over the situation. Delayed decisions are opportunities to lose the conversion because conflicting information can negatively influence the prospect.
