I followed that up a few days later with Someone Wasn't Paying Attention, about an email I received that gave me a chuckle even though it promoted a product I'll not be using.
This time I received an email from KBar that included a link. Because it came from KBar I followed the link and came face to screen with the image on the right. See that blue box in the middle of the screen, that blue box basically covering the top part of the story that I followed the link to read?
Yep, you guessed it, here's another site I won't be navigating to any more.
I'm probably more sensitive to these things because NextStage just released its Ad Placement tool. That tool determines where an ad should be placed on a webpage so that people respond to it due to the ad appealing to them rather than interfering with their browsing.
Even more so since companies have contacted NextStage and asked for trainings on the tool, presentations on the research, and the CEO of one of the companies mentioned in the article contacted me to say thanks, the day the article came out they got four new clients. Companies were contacting them to use the tool on their behalf.
