
CDFW learned he could recite incantations in Part 4. Part 5 left him battling with evil wizards and he went to the king for help in Part 6. The evil wizards were attempting to create alliances in Part 7.
"(This despite the fact that I'd told him two days before that DNS was resolving properly and had on more than one occasion given him the IP of our dns server which he had, in fact, entered as a setting into his own routers).
"Then he added that he really needed to get together with her and advise her how we needed to be changing our network, email, database, etc., etc. You need to be using this for that, you need to stop doing this and start doing that. Honest. That's what he said in this e-mail. I cannot with mere words, however, convey the condescension, and officiousness of the tone. He managed with the email to piss off {the boss}, too, not quite understanding that {the boss} knows I'm not an idiot.
"When the folks at {the company} heard my reaction to the email, they decided by mutual consent that we'd better have John handling all future communications with this guy. He was called and informed he was mistaken in his assessment and a time was set up for Saturday for him to come in and work on the routers."
Have I ever mentioned how cute CDFW gets when he's upset? It's that totally handsome shade of blue...
