
Anyway, I finally got around to reading the Feb 07 Omma. They have an article, "New Crop of Ad Nixers" on page 8 that intrigued me. There's a new set of browser tools coming out that allow website visitors block ads from certain networks.
I don't doubt that ad blocking technology will be on the rise. I also doubt that this isn't going to be used as a data point by somebody somewhere.
A congruence that intrigued me was that this article probably went to press about the same time MediaPost's online was distributing their "BT and Privacy" arc. You can find pointers to their arc and my thoughts on it in this blog's Online Privacy posts.
