NextStage: Predictive Intelligence, Persuasion Engineering, Interactive Analytics and Behavioral Metrics This is part 4 in an arc on NextStage's analysis of various political campaign websites. These commentaries won't be a regular thing (at least not right now). NextStage does offer daily political analysis update via subscription. Stay tuned for more details.

Detail - MittRomney.com

romney070322homepage.jpgGovernor Romney's web site has a static banner and the information below it changes.

Like HillaryClinton.com, MittRomney.com also appeals to men and women fairly equally. His numbers from the analysis are very consistent from February to March 22nd. What this means is that he knows what he wants to say to the people and isn't changing it to suit the latest poll. The site's targeted audience shifted from March 6th to March 22nd.

The site is targeting people who like information presented to them visually. These people like to talk things over with another person. His strategy thus far has been to discuss things with people, go out and meet the people, which is what this audience wants. These people base their final decisions on gut feelings. They will act to avoid a possibility rather than act to achieve an outcome. A "Do this or else this will happen" attitude rather than "Vote for me and I'll do …".

This means that his audience consists of people who are visual in nature and like to see things. Once they see something they will then seek out someone and talk it over with them. In the final analysis the audience right now will end up going with their gut instincts about whether or not to vote for him.
