Catching up on my readings (18 Mar 07, 4)
NextStage: Predictive Intelligence, Persuasion Engineering, Interactive Analytics and Behavioral Metrics It still Sunday, the dog is sleeping on the floor, I'm probably going to make myself some espresso and maybe go back to the guitar for a bit. By the way, I'm thinking of selling one of my 6-strings and my 12-string. Not an easy decision. Both have been good workhorses. I'm thinking it's time for them to help some other young guitar-slinger to find his or her way.
Enough of that, back to interesting content in other people's blogs.

This entry has interesting content from Stephan Fraser, and still more from Ed Moyle and Theresa Quintanilla.

I also follow Stephan Fraser's Marketing Type blog and found his post on Looking for a marketing type? a good read. Mr. Fraser has another blog, Tenebris, which I've just started getting into. I enjoy the urbanity and humor of his writing. If you like a good wit and are willing to smile when reading blogs while learning from them, his posts are a home for you.

Ed Moyle posts another gem on his Security Curve Weblog, this time Serious Chutzpah from eEye, about what I'd call an interesting experiment in security. I met Ed once and had a good chat with him about his field, something I know very little about. During our conversation, Ed shared that his education had a more philosophical bent (please correct me if I'm in error, Ed) and it often comes through in interesting ways in his blog. For example, "Note that our experiences were just that - our experiences". He's writing about security concerns and his phrasing is straight from epistemology. In any case, I learn from Ed's blog and am passing it on to you.

I keep on suggesting Theresa Quintanilla's QViews blog because it's a rich source of marketing knowledge. This time I suggest Borrowing a Brand Image as a read. It's about choosing the right spokesperson for your brand. I had to wonder, while reading this post, how the concepts of Eventing and what I offered about how user-generated online Superbowl content will play into the concepts Ms. Quintanilla writes about.

Still catching up on my readings.

Please contact NextStage for information regarding presentations and trainings on this and other topics.
