
Not a good thing, probably, as some of these things in near earth orbit are good size chunks of metal. Of course, it's going to cost as much if not more to clean it all up as it did to put it up there in the first place. I'm a' guessing the lessons of dumping into the ocean, lakes, rivers, etc., didn't go too far or too deep. Funny, because something coming in at 22k miles/hr can go both far and deep depending on certain factors.
But there might be an upside. We could maybe do something to spread all that junk out to create a (maybe) space shield, something to block out the sun, something to help stop global warming.
FYI, I'm kidding.
