That's not quite the synthesizers that made food and everything else on Star Trek and it's a lot closer than anything I've encountered before.
Imagine the uses, though...Don't bring equipment, only the equipment necessary to get these robotic builders in place then send them the blueprints for shelters, transportation, clothing, ...I see these big time in space exploration and (sadly albeit safely) combat situations. Right now they seem to be focused on non-edible products but with time, who knows? I'm not sure I'd want a pizza made by them but again, time and need are complimentary vectors in such things. Given time, anything's possible. Given a need, time is irrelevant. What thoughts might you have? Feel free to share.
