I'll be posting some follow ups from that Summit here. Many people asked if NextStage could help them do things (many thanks to Ms. Debrianna Obara, VP, Media at avenue a razorfish who sat beside me on the plane trip back and was patient with my questions) and yes, I believe there's quite a bit NextStage can do to make life simpler. I'll be posting about that here and in my IMedia columns soon.
I did want to take this post to address something a reader of this blog talked with me about on the phone while I was in Arizona.
The reader asked why I didn't include any pictures in my On the road again... post. I didn't have my camera with me at the time. Fortunately, the folks at Marriott's Camelback Inn were kind enough to let me borrow a digital camera and take a few shots from my spot on the hill behind the Inn.
Here you see Camelback mountain itself from about halfway up Mummy mountain, which is directly behind Marriott's Camelback Inn.
There are some well marked trails about halfway up Mummy mountain and other trails which continue to the top. I got about 4/5 to the top before I stopped because the trail became a bit more technical than my Rockports would support. Next time I'll bring my climbing shoes and camera, hopefully to take some shots from the top.
I also managed to take some shots looking west and east at sunset. Quite a site. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to take any decent moon shots at the time. Darn!
Going up that hill was a necessary cleansing for me and I always brought some offerings for the Old Ones and their children, tobacco for the Old Ones, cookies and crackers for the little critters in the rocks. I had some good conversations with Snake and Grandmother Spider, and a Coyote came by once to make sure I wasn't challenging him for his territory. I told him who I was and he said that it was okay, just don't mark anything or I'd be in for a whooping.
Again, many thanks to the folks at IMedia for putting on the summit and for the folks at Marriott's Camelback Inn for lending me a camera so I could share some pictures. - Joseph
