We learned that there is a difference in comprehension and retention when people move from hardcopy to virtual copy and also that these differences fell along demographic lines. The differences can be summed up fairly easily by recognizing that people less than 35 years old have had a great deal more online experience when compared to their lifespan than people in my age bracket (for example). This breakdown has a precedent. When TVs caught on, people watching the TV would attempt to talk with whoever was on the screen at the time. That would be my parents' bracket.
